We all know her as a woman who has no problem speaking her mind, even when millions of people are watching across America.  So it’s no surprise when Cotton Candy talked with Jill Zarin, one of the leading ladies on the ever-popular Bravo series The Real Housewives of New York City,  she didn’t hold back.  We asked the questions that reveal the real Jill Zarin. But we gave her one rule: she could only answer with one word to two sentences. And we discovered that even with the word restrictions, she has a soft, effervescent and pretty funny side.

Cotton Candy: What’s your idea of perfect happiness?

Jill Zarin: Being with family.

CC: What do you feel people misunderstand about you the most?

JZ: That I don’t work.

CC: What trait do you like most about yourself?

JZ: Uh, let’s see.  I’m funny! (Laughs)

CC: What should every woman have in her closet?

JZ: A black sweater.

CC: If New York City wasn’t an option, where would you call your home?

JZ: Florida.

CC: What quality do you like most in a man?

JZ: Ambition. A guy who’s driven.

CC: What quality do you like most about in a woman?

JZ: Kind.  Yeah, kind.

CC: What do you consider your best moment if life?

JZ: Giving birth to my daughter.

CC: What’s your most embarrassing moment?

JZ: Too many! There’s so many it’s hard to say. But, I’m sure I’ve walked out of a bathroom with toilet paper on my shoe.

CC: What’s your most treasured possession?

JZ: My dog, Ginger. (Ginger barks!)

CC: How do you define a real friend?

JZ: Oh! One who shares her candy!

CC: What talent do you wish you had?

JZ: Oh there’s so many. But sing. Wish I could sing well. I mean I can sing.  But not so well. (Laughs)

CC: What’s the best thing about being famous?

JZ: Being able to connect and help other people.

CC: What’s the coolest thing about being famous?

JZ: Being recognized.

CC: What’s the worst thing about being famous?

JZ: Being recognized! (Laughs) It’s the best and the worst sometimes, with lies being told about you.

CC: What do you wish that you had more of?

JZ: Children.

CC: Where do you see yourself ten years from now?

JZ: Living in Florida and traveling.

CC: How do you relax?

JZ: Relax? What does that even mean? (Laughs) Well, it’s very hard for me to relax. Very hard. How do I relax? I sit in bed and watch reruns — my ‘Law & Order’ marathon. Watching TV is my favorite activity.

CC: What do you like to watch on TV the most?

JZ: Reality shows. Yeah. It’s true. Well that and ‘Law & Order.’ And this new show ‘Covert Affairs.” Have you seen it? I love it!  It’s my new favorite show.

Hey! You forgot to ask me a question!

CC: Oh yeah? What’s that?

JZ: If I could have another reality show, what would it be?

CC: OK, if you could have another reality show, what would it be?

JZ: It would be called, “Mother Knows Best.” And it would be about my mother, my sister and me. The dynamic of Gloria, me and my sister.

Let me give you a couple of things people don’t know about me.

CC: OK, go for it.

My favorite exercise is pilates.  And my favorite book is ‘Secrets of a Jewish Mother’ because I wrote it! (Laughs)
